Grief
Each bereavement is unique and we can’t tell how long it will last. Bereavement affects people in different ways. There is no right or wrong way to feel. A counsellor can give you time and space to talk about your feelings.
Depression
Depression can happen to anyone – and does happen to one in four of us over our lifetimes. Different factors can make it more likely to happen. Therapy offers a safe place to explore these emotions and find coping mechanisms to overcome depression.
Relationships
Relationship concerns happen for many reasons, and can often be a source of great psychological anguish. Most of us have to work consciously to master the skills necessary to make them flourish. Talking with a counselor can empower us to bring change.
Anxiety
Anxiety happens whether the danger is real, or whether we believe the danger is there when actually there is none. There are ways to learn how to manage, cope and overcome anxiety.
Trauma
Traumatic events usually come out of the blue. Accidents, illnesses, disasters, assaults, combat, sexual, emotional and physical abuse are all events which are potentially traumatic. counselling offers ways to manage our thoughts, behaviour and feelings.
Our counsellors are registered members of the BACP and counsellors working with under 18 years of age hold current DBS certificates.
